Was there any damage evident on the pickup? Has a flywheel magnet come loose and been catching it? At the end of the day - it could have just failed of its own accord... I didn't realize how vague my original post was. just an update:The scooter is an li150, the stator is a bgm, and I have an Sil flywheel. I put everything back together, I had a nice spark, and it started on the third kick. I'm still not sure what happened to the pickup coil. The stator is less than...

My scooter lost spark. After disconnecting the cutoff switch, trying a different spark plug and cdi I measured resistance from the stator.
