Thanks for the replies, Its a 150 special am getting rebored, did a compression test yesterday and it was below 100 psi. The barrel has been rebored before, but I can't remember to what oversize. I want to keep running the original 18mm carb. If I rebored to 10th oversize 59mm the piston would be 20...

starting problems

Hi, I'm having problems starting, the scooter will only start when I sit on the scoot and tilt to the side and get a good swing at the kickstart even then it can take ages to fire up. I have had the side casing off and adjusted the kick start plate so it engages as soon as you operate the kick start...

Problem sorted now thanks...

Disassembled the clutch and re-fitted, it seems the clutch plates were'nt separating when clutch was pressed.

Took the side casing off last night and the clutch thimble is still in place, there is no bronze clutch bush as its a 150 special and the No6 comes in direct contact with the clutch thimble when clutch arm is operated. Everything internally looks ok to be honest, I will check the clutch circlip toni...

Clutch not engaging

Just replaced both gear cables and clutch cable, clutch now wont engage and clutch arm on engine casing feels notchy when turned by hand with an open ended spanner.

Any ideas before I investigate further :?:

I sprayed a full scooter in the garage using a Sundstrom SR100 half mask with the following filters
  • isocyanate filter up to 40 hrs use
    Gas filter
    Particle filter
