Re: Rapido 225 Lack of top end power..Carb set up wrong?

Hi, Clarify how you have set-up Smart Booster variable ignition unit. It could simply be that you have not enough timing at mid to high-RPM. Piece of advice: setup your engine with Smart Booster on Curve 0 (strobe ignition to confirm static timing). Then only, once jetting is fine, enable variable i...

Re: SPARK MAGNIFIER!!!

Just realizing jonashford is talking about a Smart Booster, not a Spark Magnifier... ! Anyway, both are soldout (multiple times since 2013), BUT, both are coming back this summer ! 8-) Check the new website with some pretty cool surprises 8-) Last word regarding shipping: consider "st...

Re: kytronic

It's up to you, of course.
If you do something "highly tuned", it makes little sense to "not tune it", don't you think ?
Keep in mind, for instance, that standard PX200 runs most of their life with 23deg BTDC static ;-)

Re: kytronic

Piece of advice; if you know your engine can work with a varitronic, then simply strobe your static timing at 24deg BTDC and choose curve 7 on your Smart Booster, that's a good starting point.
And make sure you properly secure the SB on top of the CDI ;)

Re: SPARK MAGNIFIER!!!

Sorry for not updating you guys ! Re: SPARK MAGNIFIER!!!

Thanks for sharing Monty, wise words ;-)

And yes, I am trying to have the next version encapsulated into plastic/resina.
However so far there is already more than 10000 kilometers accumulated over various people (4000km on my side), and not a single issue with this new version.

Cheers,

Re: SPARK MAGNIFIER!!!

dude, before writing, please at least click on the links to check that you are stating something relevant.... there are no additionnal wires with the SM.
Still your point is valid about other potential source of failure.
Good thing is that, if it does not work, simply remove it in 2 minutes.

Re: SPARK MAGNIFIER!!!

Hi Guys, Update ! As a reminder, I created the Spark Magnifier in 2006 and I have been building it on request since then. To improve the build quality I have finally decided to have the Spark Magnifier assembled in a more industrial way. After a year or so to set everything up, it is now available o...
