The scooter shootout event is this weekend at Elvington. Postcode YO41 4AU.
If you are entering the Road Legal classes, please bring your MOT and insurance with you to be eligible otherwise you'll be in the racing classes. All entries on the day.

Awesome. Well done.
I think the old record has stood for a long time.
Santa Pod is not the fastest track either, so probably more to come with the right conditions, somewhere like East Kirby.

So the 12.7 thing was not about gearing after all ?

Yep.
If the end can internal diameter is smaller than the other one, you will be increasing back pressure.
Depending on the tune, this can make the bike run better, but it will also run hotter and you run the risk of it nipping up.

I used one in late 80's They are an old design, very simple and therefore effective. I expect they flow well as they are popular on drag bikes and you can get really big ones (41mmm+). Getting the right 'rod' and therefore good jetting can be tricky and work out expensive. I'd like to try one with a...
