Re: I'm losing my sanity with misfire/splutter 225 TS1
When you say ‘jetting same as one taken off’ ...did you use the old jets or replace with new, like for like? If this is a new problem which has developed, and the scooter previously ran ok....then my advice is that you should have fitted NEW jetting to the OLD carb...rather than the other way round...

Re: I'm losing my sanity with misfire/splutter 225 TS1
What grade of plug are you running? I’ve known people suffer similar when trying to run NGK 10, sometimes even with a 9... but rarely with a 9. You could certainly try a different grade and see if it helps. Some odd ‘special’ types of plug, which others may recommend, can also cause such an issue. ...

Re: I'm losing my sanity with misfire/splutter 225 TS1
What pipe are you running? I found something similar with a 'flat spot' on a Fran Race around 5,500rpm. Lower gears could power through it but in 4th I'd get a stutter. Lowered main jet to solve it. JL3 Scooter run fine in the past. It is a problem that has developed which I can't fathom out. So I ...

Re: Avanti Jetting
As you can see below I started with Rons suggestion ( always helpful ) and went from there , numerous plug check rides later I've ended up fairly happy ( probably a touch on the rich side TBH ) :D http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/ss267/AngryBloke/755872fdda91d3192b96b35f63c4ab29_zpst3d18n3b.jpg T...

Re: Avanti Jetting
Not got a BGM but I reckon: 70 choke, 55 pilot, av266, x7 needle, 125 main won't be far off. Thanks Mick1, I'm using that set up only with a 122 main jet. Tried circlip on needle at top position tonight. Better pulling off from stationary but boggy mid range. Mixture initially set to 2 turns out, n...

Avanti TT3 + 110mm con rod + Clubman type exhaust
Has anybody tried using this combo :?: Building engine in a series 2, but want to use the above combination. Don't know how much room there is between head and frame, especially if using a 2.5mm/3.00mm packing plate. I guess the clubman would have to have an adjustable swan neck like MB Clubman. Wis...
