Re: Series 1 - Janie Jones

Brilliant, love it, I can't quite see but is that a speedo cover? excuse my ignorance but is that road legal? do you have a speedo somewhere else, is this another fine Lambretta in your collection or do you sell each project to fund the next?

Re: Few of mine.

Fantastic collection Craig, I have followed your threads on the LCGB and your attention to detail is just what any Lambretta deserves. The paint quality looks great, I'm hoping to have my GP200 painted this year in Yellow Ochre what sort of cost would it be if I could use the same painter as you? I ...

Re: LI150 Series 1 original paint colours

I couldn't see anything in Sticky's book about the mudguard, how did you work the magic with the photo? I have a NOS brass badge but don't really want to fit it if it wasn't on the scooter originally, can original badges be re-used? I'm trying to use as many original parts as possible - grips, wirin...

Re: LI150 Series 1 original paint colours

That's the one! how do I do that? any ideas on the mudguard?
Were all Series 1 British market scooters fitted with the brass legshield badge? this one doesn't have any holes for a badge and it is definitely British.

Re: LI150 Series 1 original paint colours

Dawn grey it is then, I have a few small parts still in the original paint and on inspection it is a very light grey, do I just give the Lechler code to the painter and rely on it being mixed right or have it colour matched?

Thanks for all your help, Dave.

LI150 Series 1 original paint colours

I have finally found a sprayer who I trust to work on my Series 1, I want to use the original paint colours and have looked on the LCGB site for the Lechler paint codes. The original paint colours were a white base with red panels, headset and horncase, my only problem is the LCGB site doesn't give ...

Re: Go MEC Go!

How many types of crank do MEC sell for a Lambretta and how do you identify them? I have some GP cranks in stock from MEC but don't know how to tell the difference between a standard crank and a better quality one, I wouldn't want to sell someone a crank that wouldn't be suitable for their applicati...

Re: ever had four gears in reverse?

I have never had or seen a Lambretta go backwards in all 4 gears but many years ago I had a phone call from a friend who was doing a Vespa 150 Super up for someone who lived around the corner from me, all he said was come on round I have something to show you. When I arrived he told me to start the ...
