Managed to sort it

The springs had had their day...and coupled with no circlip on bottom of clutch arm shaft (my fault!) the bronze bush hadn't seated properly

New springs, circlip & clutch plates..........nice and smooth now

mcbrid, outer cable seems ok/seated

wack63...I think that is worth checking out...I will strip clutch at the w/e....I presume the remedy is a new spider

Dodgy clutch

Hi there My clutch is playing up, and I wondered if anyone has any thoughts I have got a standard 4 plate clutch in a TS1 225 motor, everything has been fine until I went for a ride the other week. I was changing down for a roundabout and the clutch lever didn't want to depress all the way...it felt...

Unfortunately the work colleague shouting "80..90" et.c has emigrated to darkest Peru, so may be difficult to trace as sole witness to the speed I was doing...I was ony really doing 60 Dave411..I appreciate that riding anything at speed has its' dangers...but I would rather be going fast t...

I know I can get a true speed reading if I fitted a GPS, but I though I'd get some work chumps to show off to...please skip to 7.00 mins in, as it goes on a bit

I had same problem, and tried with thicker gasket...still rubbing. To be honest, the kickstart circlip was located in the wrong place so shaft was too far forward. I still bit the bullet & shelled out on a new casa kickstart....problem solved thank god

Yeah frame started off life as a Jet

Plan is, once my GP gets on the road, to totally revamp this one..new legshields/paint et.c but for now she'll do
