Re: And todays cockup is !???

Here is the dumbest thing I've done on a scoot repair. I used to commute on my TV175 & needed it to be on the road nearly every day. It's been twenty years now, so I don't remember why I had the need to have the piston off on a Saturday morning, but as I was putting in the circlip back on the pi...

Re: kytronic

I've got a mate that fit one on his P2 Polini. We went for a fifty mile ride last weekend and I could tell a difference... in my trying to keep up with him from the lights. It could also be that I've put on a few pounds during the festive season. Anyway, He says it's made a very nice improvement to ...

Any guess as to what brand of con rod this might be.

I have this friend (seriously... it's not me) who has stripped his top end and doubts this is the mazzuchelli crank listed on the invoice from the dealer who installed it. So... what are your opinions, or facts..... :D as to what brand of connecting rod this might be? http://i54.photobucket.com/albu...

Should I re-use this hub.. or trash it?

O.K. Lambretta nerds... Here is a scratch / crack / road damage thing / that is concerning me with my back hub. It is not deep enough to measure, but still concerns me. The red nozzle points to it http://i849.photobucket.com/albums/ab58/cfrandsen1/Hub1_zps49dca37e.jpg It does not go all the way thro...

Re: Scooterotica Special - The Yellow Peril !

You know what - I prefer panel handles that way too because they are streamlined the same way as the scooter. It wouldn't surprise me they were originally designed to fit that way (like S1 and S2), but some health and safety prune decided that it wasn't safe to have spikes sticking backwards at the...

Re: Check this Bad Boy out

I keep looking at this and..... I'm not impressed. I'm sure that technically it's complicated, took a lot of work to be put together and runs. However, where is the beauty in this machine? It just looks like a bunch of stuff stuck together to make an odd looking motorcycle. Question. How few origina...

Lambretta revving on after clutch is pulled in.

Question for you. I've got a 24 mil Mikuni on a 200 Sil barrel with a taftspeed mk4. The prob is when pulling in the clutch it's revving on for about 2 to 6 seconds before it drops down enough to shift appropriately. It's not revving it's nuts off like it has an air leak & it doesn't do it all t...

Re: My scooters past and present

Here's a video of Hard Pack SC's Orange Crush 97. You can see my old P210E (right next to Dean's Jet/GP208 and behind Mark Ito's Lucky Strike street racer) at 1:49. Watching this brings back a lot of memories. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hp6s12rzSA4 Oh Wow... I was there too. I didn't see myself...
