Re: Problems with BEEDSPEED???

What a great analogy, so very apt though. Ive always thought they could easily double their sales overnight simply by having an e-comerce site. I agree. Recently I waited an hour or so while they rebored a barrel for me. The phone didn't ring once. Not a single time. I reckon they must have it in s...

Re: Modern Retro Scooters

I was being polite. I haven't really got an axe to grind with the GTS. They are what they are. But the Primevera is very dodgy. :o

K Nuts

I've been given a handful of stainless steel K Nuts. They are an interesting idea, and it will be interesting to see how they compare to conventional nylocs on wheel rims. The base of the nut is serrated and it looks as if they really ought to be used in conjunction with Nord Lock washers. Although,...

Re: Modern Retro Scooters

It's a minefield, that's for sure. The RA's and Scomadi's look okay as they shoot past you. Until you get up close and find they've got fatter arses than some Vespa's. Now, if you could fit an auto engine neatly into a frame, as some do, and keep the lines they'd be on to a winner. The Vespa range i...

Re: Name change- British Lambretta Owners Association Club

Is it that GFs supplying two named people who offer registration services, who may have an inside track in their local DVLA centre??? I think it must be. I can't speak for Rob Skipsey. But Gary Seale provided one of Gavin Frankland's certificates. Something I was less than enamoured with. However, ...

Re: Modern Retro Scooters

The Django manages to look quite stylish in the photos. But doesn't look quite so good in reality. I don't suppose it helped that it was a grungy matt black colour. It was a big old thing and the owner reckoned it was underpowered as a 125. You're not getting rid of the Biryani Bullet are you?

Re: Modern Retro Scooters

Modern retro scooters are what they are. I think there is a lot to be said for them, if you like that sort of thing. They do what they say on the tin. Funnily enough I was looking at one of those Django things tonight. It's a bit of a lump.

Yes, he does dating certificates. He did one for my latest scooter. Not my call, I hasten to add. It was done for me. But, given the choice I would have gone with the BLA every time.
