Re: Kick Start Jamming??

Thanks for the replies. The piston doesnt seem to be sticking. it fully returns to its starting point and the teeth that mesh with the gear cog are not sticking out too far. Ive checked the chain tension and all is OK and isnt catching/snagging the chain guide. Ive not tried holding in the clutch le...

Kick Start Jamming??

Hi, When my li s2 has been stood for a while (im talking overnight/days) the kickstart jams when trying to kick over. its strange as sometimes it will kick over, then jam, then kick over again. Eventually after about 20 attempts it starts to free up so i can get a good kick so it will fire. If I the...

Re: Unable to start series 2

Just looked at your picture and that angle is WAY out. I'm not sure if it is the cause of your problem but it certainly won't help and you need to do something about it. I should think it could cause either fuel starvation or more likely flooding in your case. I would try the S2 carb on it and not ...

Re: Unable to start series 2

Seems that the engine is receiving too much fuel on the start and requires more air. Will it run okay without the air bellow for a while or will it still die after a little bit? When you pull the choke, will it die inmediately? Also, have you tried another carburettor, just for the sake of it? Best...

Re: Unable to start series 2

Also would the angle of the carb affect it's operation? I can't make it sit up right anymore due to the engine mount being in the way. When I changed the jets earlier the bowl was nearly full.
