Re: Rear brakes catching
I should add, the rear brakes have been working fine for 2 years, since the engine was put in the sportique and has only covered 500 miles and passed 2 mot's.

Rear brakes catching
I'm at a loss with this one....mates px engined sportique, with SIP 10" to 8" conversion failed it's MOT on rear brakes not breaking evenly on the rolling road, MOT man thought it might be an ovalised rear hub. Cut a long story short.... ended up buying a new conversion kit from SIP, which...

Re: Loose headset
have you definitely got the correct headset on. how easy is it to fit the headset onto the forks, you should have to turn it from side to side to get it on properly and are you using washers & spring washers. you should tighten the nut not the bolt, once tight then give the bolt head a turn wit...

Loose headset
I've had my headset off and on a coulpe of times recently, then I noticed my headset wouldnt tighten up on the fork stem, inspecting the bolt I realise it had stripped the threads, this is the second time this has happened in 4 months, so I bought a A2 stainless allen head bolt M10 X 65. I tightened...

Re: clutch adjustment?
What do you mean by jumps and stalls? Too tight and it will slip on kickstart, too loose and it will drag and stall. Just done a Cosa type repair today that needed the turrets deepening to allow the plates to seperate more and a special shim fitted on top of the oil drive cog to stop the clutch dri...

clutch adjustment?
On getting my mates px engine VBB ready for MOT, it had a clutch problem, if I adjust it too much, it jumps and stalls, if I back it off, it's like riding with no clutch! I've taken a look at the clutch and all seems in order. Anyone got any pointers where to look next?
