Re: Binning the jettex !

What was wrong with the Jetex ?. I run one on my Indian GP 200 engine. 125 main, and 49 ( I think ) pilot. It's took me around Europe o/k. Runs a little rich, but I'm prepared to put up with that as the extra fuel helps keep the piston cool. I'm glad I put my Jetex back on. I've only ever had a cou...

Keep breaking kick start pistons

When I bought my scooter it had a kick start issue, so much so when the kick start shaft was changed it split the casing. However it looks like it had previously been catching on the first gear cog as some of the teeth had worn but it usually got some purchase but occasionally clicked and banged bef...

Re: Binning the jettex !

Make sure you get a quality manifold otherwise the rubber will be popping off every 5 minutes. I had an AF one and got that pissed off with it coming off I putt the Jettex back on. The trade off with the extra grunt of the 26 mil is far out weighed by the peace of mind and savings on fuel. Call me a...

Back to the Lammy's

Reet. A couple of years ago I had to make the very tough decision to do a deal on my GP 200 with a Vespa GT 200. I used the GP for every day use but got so paranoid about leaving it anywhere I did the deal on what I thought would tick all the boxes. Anyway the GT proved so unreliable I sold it. Boug...

Good basic set up

At the moment I'm running a "straight from the factory" SIL 200 engine with standard big bore exhaust and 22 mil jetex. Some people say "if it aint broke, don't try and fix it" but I'm thinking about getting it "blueprinted" ports polished and matched, 25 or 26 mil delo...
