Re: Warm weather & jetting
Humidity, rather than temperature, can make a big difference. The higher the humidity, the richer the engine will run, as the water vapour displaces air.

Re: SIP Tubeless wheel rims
A mate has just had some of these, and apparently had a sticker on them saying "For show and race use only" were have i heard that before ? :? :o I think the Germans have much more strict - and more expensive - rules on marketing new parts. It may just be to avoid the expense of &...

Re: Need electrical help - connecting S2 loom to electronic
Not yet - I've got a mate coming over to help me at the weekend, and he's good with electrics. I'll post the solution on here once we get it working, for anyone with a similar set up.

Re: Need electrical help - connecting S2 loom to electronic
Thanks guys - Sticky's doesn't seem to cover this set up , as far as I can tell, although there are some kind of similar options.
I'll try the suggestions, and hopefully that will work.

Wires from stator: Green Yellow White Red Wires from loom: Grey Purple Green (two into one connector) Wire to coil I'm thinking I can put the double green wire straight to the CDI, but I don't know where...

Re: Complete Spanners Manual - corrections please
A clear explanation on how the clutch works would be useful, eventhough I like many others could put one together blindfolded I still don't know exactly how they are suppose to work  Think of a clutch as a pair of castellated gears (ie teeth on the face, rather than the edge). When they mesh ...

Re: pin hole in crankcase
I wouldn't trust it, but then I'm not the biggest fan of JB Weld. Best to get it properly done, then he won't have to worry about it failing.

Re: kickstart s/2
i got series 2 sidecasing with kickstart on. Can i just fit it on sil engine The chaincase side will fit, but remember that the SIL endplate is a different design (has the kick start ramp as part of the endplate, rather than part of the chaincase side). Also, the S2 doesn't have the strengthening w...

Re: How do I get tank back in frame??
You need to have the air box out first. With the cap and the fuel tap removed, turn the tank about 20 degrees, with the cap towards the rear (curved part down). The tank should go in with a little jiggling. Once in place, rotate it to the correct angle, put the straps on and tighten the strap bolts ...

Re: piston pin circlips
I've used a large flat screwdriver against one end (to stop it turning) and needle-nosed pliers to compress the other end. It also helps to stop it "pinging" out across the garage.
Remember to have the wire ends rotated to the top of the piston when you re-install.
