Re: Mag side air leak?

Not saying you have this but, a mate was suffering similar problems and was at his wits end one night yarning over a pint I asked what had he changed just before the problem arose? He told me he had changed his throttle cable, so we took off the headset in the carpark and the cable end was just long...

Anyone unable to get one to fit, or not happy with the unpainted system. I'll take them off your hands at a reduced cash price.

Re: holed piston :( so angry (now with pics)

Also done the same..........weak running being the culprit again, choke check maybe, when the motors running again, to make sure no area of throttle is running weak?

Re: Charging

Firekdp, I am getting 1-3Volts from the B+ connection at the moment, no where near enough to keep the battery topped up.
Just wondered if the connections had always been wrong since fitted? If I can get this working the isolator switch is a great idea though to fit.
Thanks Rick.

Re: Jump start scooter with powerpack.

A picture paint a thousand words......I have an engine starter that is made for this purpose, however if your unit is only small I doubt it will have the power to do so. Is it just a battery encased in a plastic body with a lighter socket and charge switch on it........the type I you can use for cam...

Re: Advice on using choke to stop heat seize on long ride

[quote="Adam_Winstone"]I agree that a choke can be used to bring down temps, indeed, I do that if I feel a bike is running hot or weak, then I sort out the issue (e.g. correct my jetting or timing, dump rubbish fuel, etc). However, the point that I was trying to support is that choke opera...

Re: Advice on using choke to stop heat seize on long ride

I have used the choke on, as a get me back home trick, when my scooter had shown the signs of a heat seize, in order to prevent being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The problem I then had was sorted out, (spilt carb rubber) and the jetting was returned to normal. If someone is using the choke on, i...
