Agreed. But it is good to understand why this is true. The material the gasket is made from and the amount of heat it will be exposed to. I recommend getting a head that is inset into the barrel. This will keep it from happening.

Update:
This issue seems to have invaded Casa Lambretta’s distribution. If you have a Casa 185 kit sitting on the shelf, I recommend you take a look at the rings. If you have a piston ring end gap exceeding 0.30mm, maybe contact the shop you bought it from.

For the record, I am aware of individual products that are to be avoided, for one reason or another, produced by particular Manufacturers. When a product is IMHO unsafe, then my conscience dictates that I should try & make others aware. That may be front brake cables that snap, hubs that fail, ...
