Re: water cooled twin

I have just sat here and read all 17 pages of this build. I am in absolute awe of your talents mate, I've been building scooters over 30 years now and I am still not even anywhere near your league. You have produced one of the best scooters I have ever seen in my life, and after this long, I aint th...

Malossi Vespower coil

Did you know the Malossi coils supplied with their Vespower ignition kits have an HT lead that's sealed into the coil and cant be removed ?? Neither did I until I snapped the f@@king thing trying to change HT leads. Brand new coil totally wasted - I'm spewing big time. Question: Can I use the BGM Pr...

Re: Satin black paint job

the only trouble with gloss black is prepping your panels as it shows any defects or scratches satin looks nice like the sip tubeless Very true but also remember the final matt finish is very forgiving - my advice would be to use a high build primer filler, that will get rid of a lot of the smaller...

Re: Satin black paint job

My cutdown is matt black - I have done it three times now. For the best result I used black gloss and then used a matt clear coat over the top of it

Re: Painting Engine Casings

Ace Hardware do high temperature paint that can with stand temperatures of 1000 degrees intermittently for things like barbeques I have used it on exhausts and on engine casings and I am very impressed with the results. the down pipe from the exhaust discolors a bit but is still on the rest looks gr...

Re: 177 Parma kit Set up.

Thanks very much for the quick feedback, I really appreciate it. I will take your advice Juan and use the old cut crank as it cant do any harm to get a bit of extra juice into the casing. I will do exactly as you suggest Ginch on the squish - start with just one or 2 and measure it and go from there...

177 Parma kit Set up.

I am presently building up an engine for my cousin, I am using the new 177 Parmakit cylinder. (work of art compared to my Polini) Its more for an extra bit of power than a full on race tuned monster so I am not going to go too mad. No replacement for displacement as they say. The engine casings have...

Re: WHO ARE THE BIG COLLECTORS

Living in Asia now scooters are cheap and plentiful. Like most people here I have had loads back in the UK and here over the years. However with work and family commitments I find I have less time to devote to a big collection of scooters so my collection has dwindled to just three hardcore bikes wi...

Re: Stiffy

Glad I read this as I thought it was just me. I also brought the uprated SIP spring for the front of my Sprint to be used in conjunction with a BGM front shock after 3 days or sweating straining and swearing I gave up and cut it down to the standard length. Finally got it fitted and it is simply too...
