Re: Name change- British Lambretta Owners Association Club

I would have loved to have been surveyed.

It's akin to asking children on Christmas Eve what they think of Santa Claus.

Re: Starting Problems

Once finally resolved if you do belt it about then fit the 8 or the 9.

My money is on the BGM stator. and/or faulty float valve.

Re: Starting Problems

For easier starting fit the 7.
Fitting the 8 or 9 won't make a difference to starting; if anything it will be harder. Do NOT waste your money.

Re: New 185cc engine won't start or run

Yes I hope you mean 0.4 mm.

I don't use choke with easy start.
I.don't like inline filters as most are for pumped systems and you will have trouble starting.

Re: Starting Problems

Never open the throttle when starting because it will flood.
If you fit a tea strainer filter you may have to up your jetting.
What happened to the "no spark"?

Bristol Mod is absolutely correct. Take it from me; we're both pensioners and have been here since Noah and Innocenti.
Enlarge a hole in the manifold thus allowing you to pivot it away. Trust me; it works.

Re: PWK and choke cable

I use a throttle outer and inner and a rotating 90 degree bend. I make the cable really quite long and take past the carb and back again. Trial and error and soldering nipple on choke lever end. I personally found that all the standard sizes do not sit fair and square in the choke adjuster.
