Re: Best conversion forks????
I have a 74 sprint veloce with a PK fork swap, hydraulic disc additon, Bitubo shock, custom headset master cylinder bracket. Pm me for details, drawings, images and the long story of the install. Totally worth it, but alot of work. Here's the bracket- http://www.flickr.com/photos/25484454@N03/505436...

Re: message to all our guests
I visit daily, reading all I can look at really, lurking mostly. Every time I visit, I need to login manually, while this gains me nothing in terms of being able to read anything. I rarely post, so, that puts me in the guest category, just because I am lazy about the login. I praise the site and its...

Re: Cosa Clutch Upgrade - Worth it or not..?
If you motor is stock, then the cosa handles the power nicely, doesn't flower open, and is generally smoother, easier and less notchy. The downsides with the cosa are that they are weaker when it comes to tuned engines that can offer up enough torque to produce all kinds of problems with these clutc...

Re: Calling our American cousins
Their communication can be flakey, its hit or miss on the phone.
When I do find a human, they are more than helpful, I'd say keep trying.
here's what I have for contacts-

Re: anyone tried nylon engine mounts
I am a user of their products, they are top notch quality. But your mention of nylon has me wondering, as I went back to their site and read the description. They are urethane, not nylon, and I just ordered and received a set of 2 swing arm bushings and the rear shock tube. These come with some lube...

Re: effing gears
I thought that the batwing notches were slightly different between the two layshaft styles, causing you to have to use efl with an efl selector box, and proper shaft with the original box. I know I had the same problem with mine, the gears were notchy and grabbing when going into fourth. I switched ...

Re: not starting
I have seen this on mine, right after rebuild.
It was an air lock in the carb, fuel could not get through, well not enough to start.
I put a hand over the intake on the carb, with a few kicks, it forces fuel through by vacuume.
it might be worth a try

Re: vespa rally fork (and brake) inprovement
It was Stoffi's garage in germany that had these available way back when, it became a common name for the stiffer spring, which was either from an Ape or it was custom made. They are still referred to as Stoffi's springs by US shops, like ASC- http://www.americanscootercenter.com/index.php?main_page...
