Re: Exhaust joint sealant
Permatex 81878 Ultra Copper, or Loctite 5920. I also use these for almost every under-pressure gasket on the engine. Get some gloves on, and add a bead of sealant to the gasket faces, then run your fingers over the gasket and smooth it all out leaving a nice goldilocks (not too thin, not too thick) ...

Re: BGM PWK 28 idle behaviour
Here is a PWK how-to I posted on the LCUSA forum: I recently picked up a GP200 that had a OKO/PWK 30mm fitted with an old PM Style ScootRS pipe. Although it ran, it was jetted poorly, not to mention that whoever last rebuilt the carb stripped most of the housing and jet threads. So I picked up a few...

Re: Sidecar gearing
I built up a Jet200 sidecar rig with a metal Cozy sidecar. I used Li150 gearing, and it pulled great through all the gears.

Re: Zaurst fitment problems
If your exhaust is touching the chaincase, this has to do with the front and rear mounts not the u-bend. You can add some flat washers behind the front and rear exhaust bracket until it is space out enough from the chaincase. Depending on how far you need to space it out, you might need to get some ...

Re: Stripped thread
are you on commission? I've used jubilee clips to bodge an encoder together once, so one could equally say "jubilee clips are professional offshore construction industry quality and used in the marine industry". I'm not saying they aren't better than helicoils, just wondering if you're a ...

Re: Stripped thread
M6 Time-Sert. The kit isn't cheap, but you can also use the M6 for stripped case studs. I use it on all M6 case studs that have an exhaust mount attached to it. Unlike Helicoil, Time-Serts have a collar that prevents the insert from going in too far. Time-Serts are professional aircraft quality, and...

Re: AF CASSETTE CLUTCH PROBLEMS.
I have installed a few SSC clutches, they are great. They take some setting up though, if it slipped it is because it was constantly disengaged. You need to shave off some of the brass plunger.

Re: Lambretta mag housing nightmare, all help appreciated !
What would I do? I would tap a few new M6 holes, or use M6 Time-Sert inserts in the old stripped holes, then use this tool to remove the mag flange: http://jet200.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1572 http://jet200.com/catalog/images/1572.jpg Heating the actual case around where the mag-flan...

Re: Jockey Boxenstop rear brake problem
I've got a stand like that but it goes nowhere near the tyre. If you insert them properly from the inside out, they can. If you insert it from the cover side, it will not. Since mine is set up, I was thinking of tack welding the pivot post to the plate while it is on the scooter, then dissembling i...

Re: Jockey Boxenstop rear brake problem
ill dedicate a full day to this on sunday and up date, just seems weird that the hub should go on sweet with clearance then only bind when tighten down........ It is not weird if you think about what I just explained. Before you tightened the rear hub nut, it spun freely, yes? When you tighten down...
