Re: Mb rear bearings
I'm currently working on a mate's engine which I originally built 3 years ago with an MB rear hub bearing. Not long after that he complained that he was losing gearbox oil, although intermittently. I started suspecting a bad drive side seal, but upon hearing him also complain of a non-functioning r...

Re: chiselspeed dyno
My 2 cents: I'm currently running a SuperTourer on my DL, Rapido 225, Delly 30 PHBH, AF light flywheel and stator, static 19 degree timing, and the whole setup hits hard around 5k RPMs. For a piston port engine I'm pretty satisfied. Certainly not as torquey down low as a JL3 but it's a lot of fun wh...

Re: Rapido 225 Lack of top end power..Carb set up wrong?
You have a pretty torquey top-end and a decent gear ratio but that JL4 is pretty high-revving and it might add to your problems in 4th. The Fran Race is a good alternative and offers more low-end torque than the JL4 and starts to pull hard by ~5500 rpms. For even more low end pulling power the Fran ...

Re: PHBH anti-surge washer
I tossed mine a while back and it's never been an issue. The washer helps if you're doing motorcross style jumps and such.
