I run a Malossi 166 with a 200 60mm crank. So long stroke/long rod. Packplate under barrel, modify piston windows to line up with ports. 30mm phb carb, PM pipe. 19hp on PM dyno. Goes well. Engine was my rally hack for many years with PX125 gearbox/P2 primary, now in scootercrosser frame with T5 prim...

First scooter. SX150. December 1981 off a bloke at work for £120. Wasn't old enought to ride it, (legally), till August '82. Would look at it, polish it, tinker with it, every spare minute I had until I was on the road...then I spent every spare minute fixing it. Sold I in '83 to a local lad who cut...

If you're going to widen the exhaust port I would use a SIP piston. Exact copy of std P2 piston but with thinner, better quality rings.
Someone on here says they got over 30hp out of a P2 barrel. CBA to search for thread.
