I run a Malossi 166 with a 200 60mm crank. So long stroke/long rod. Packplate under barrel, modify piston windows to line up with ports. 30mm phb carb, PM pipe. 19hp on PM dyno. Goes well. Engine was my rally hack for many years with PX125 gearbox/P2 primary, now in scootercrosser frame with T5 prim...

If you're going to widen the exhaust port I would use a SIP piston. Exact copy of std P2 piston but with thinner, better quality rings.
