Re: LED COB Headlights (spanners manual)

I'll be interested in how you get on with the LED as heat dispersion is the reason I have stuck with the HID's I fitted to my Jet and LiS a few years ago both with Jockeys reflectors ad full DC conversions. Both have covered thousands of miles now without issue and cost a LOT less than that LED, one...

Re: Sof clear coat

Leave it to harden properly, depending on the air temperature, it could take several days. Do be aware though that 1k paint will dissolve on contact with petrol!!

Re: 12V DC CONVERSION - HOW TO

I have been running Wassels on both my Lambrettas since SoulSurfer first discovered them and neither has ever let me down. I did purchase one of the £3.99 Chinese ones recently though to use as a baxk up spare on the Italian and Spanish Euro's. If I get time I'll wire it up and do a back to back test

Re: Clearcoat over cellulose / Ik ??

Cheers for the replies boys....I think I`m going to take the 2k clearcoat plunge....I didn`t want to go 2k to start off on my first proper spray job as It seemed more difficult to fix cock ups ... Apparently any runs in the clearcoat can be flatted out and polished up again....All my scoots are com...

Re: Clearcoat over cellulose / Ik ??

You certainly can apply clearcoat over celly and it will give you an amazing wet look shine, BUT if you use single pack lacquer if WILL dissolve on contact with petrol, know though bitter experience. Celly does mark quite easily but it is VERY easy to touch up invisibly and with a bit of elbow greas...

Re: No fuel delivery....Air in fuel pipe

I've been pondering your air bubble issue and was wondering if you had checked the condition of the needle valves in the carbs you are using (you said you have several) Some needles are intolerant to modern fuel and they are now coloured red or black to denote the type (cant recall which is which). ...

Re: No fuel delivery....Air in fuel pipe

Just reading through this post for the first time and can sense your growing frustration but I would just make the observation that you are asking a favour and getting irritated by people asking for clarification as to the exact nature of your problem wont help. This issue is crying out for a photo ...
