Re: carb needles...........and the common prob of weak mixtures
The thing is when we are dealing with Lambrettas that how well a carb works is not the be all and end all because unfortunately size and fit come in to play. The mikuni 35mmtmx fits better than nearly every other carb with room between it and the panel. Even better than its little 30mm brother. This...

Re: carb needles...........and the common prob of weak mixtures
Ill put my head on block here And say this is one of the reasons I stay with Delly For one ive been playing with them for years and know them well and have massive spares. But I do believe that a Delly can be dialed in better then a mikuni Even some of the top racers say this and Im certain this is...

Re: carb needles...........and the common prob of weak mixtures
Ah ha Sean you could have been in our dyno room on Sunday with Eden and co. :D This leaness in the fueling showed up on every bike we dynoed and was very difficult to cure with the 35mm mikuni. In fact we ended up going full circle with Scottys bike with jets and needles and ended up with a compromi...

Re: Fat Mamba for TS1
Only my opinion but these for me are some of the pros and cons for both. JL4 Pros Fits pretty well and easily Makes excellent power over other pipes Good back up service from JL if something goes wrong JL Cons Horrendous ground clearance at the down pipe A horrible lip just inside the down pipe wher...

Re: GT Kit Expander Ring Failure
J1MS you may not get a pic till the weekend as cryogenic works away all week and doesn't have internet access. This is actually a motor I built so is a little close to my heart. I have actually fitted the expander ring on my own GT which has so far done in excess of 3000 miles and also two other cus...

Re: Carbon Panels....
I know two people that have had the PM ones and those were far from fit first time.
One was built at Interscooters in Coventry by Steve Connelly and there was lots of hours getting a full set to fit.

Re: THE NEW DGB LAMBRETTA GEAR BOX
Stuart posted that a month ago. I'm very sure its had more testing since then and I'm also sure he's more than cabable of breaking a gearbox when he trys having proved it many times on the drag strip.
Perhaps you ought to take up Stuarts offer of a test ride

Re: GT Kit Carb Problem
Do you mean from the website? I've found that too weak. Last one I set up had a JL3 and needed a 110 with a remote filter. I expect you'll need anything from 102 upwards. Needle and atomiser are right. I would have thought the pilot would be ok at 50 but try a 60 which is often what that carb comes ...
