Re: The end of the Lambretta crank as we know it ???

For me the Vespa is a bad example to use in the case for LPC because I think the gains come from getting the gas past the crank and not being obstructed by it rather than lowering primary compresion or rotating mass. I do agree about vibration though Sean as Harry does ones for me very similar to yo...

Re: RB20 reports

Baz was the guy measuring your rpm? If he didn't you won't get a reliable torque figure anyway. I absolutely garuntee that RB20s make more than 8ft/lb torque

Re: TS1 crank______Which Yamaha RD conrod?

Its been a while since I bought one but I think the rd400 has a 115 rod and the RD250 and 350s have 110. The thing is that I think only the 250 one comes with a pin. You'll be able to tell because one will seem a lot cheaper than the other. Marks right about Grampian request their catolougue for all...

Re: Just finishing this off for EuroLambretta...

Very nice Hope all goes well for your journey over. Very pleased because I've got a set of Spanish forks with dampers to go in the LI cut down I have. I knew they worked well but didn't know they could be made to look so good

Re: finally going for it

If you don't do it you'll always ask yourself what if. Your work speaks for itself. If your venture fails so what-you get another job :) Its difficult making a living out of something which is a huge part of your personel life and its easy to undersell yourself especially to mates or to establish yo...

Re: Dead RB kit

I take on board what people are saying about the design of the kit but the kit design hasn't caused this. The exhaust has come loose which has almost certainly damaged the gasket. This has caused the motor to run hot and seize. This isn't just any old seize its a total meltdown and I'd bet my mortga...

Re: Reet

Funnily enough the JL4 does produce a lot of torque on big bore motors and tends to behave a little differently than when you put one on say a 225. On a 240 with port timings of 130 trans and 185 exhaust a JL4 gave a 2hp peak horsepower gain and allowed the bike to rev on with useable power for anot...

Re: anima mundi 2009

I think Mark Ryden is brilliant for the same reason I used to like The Beautiful South. The cutesy extreria has a very dark underside.
Scooters that shock especially the public are way overdue a comeback. The edgier the better for me.
