I've bought a brand new 28mm dellorto and new mb rubber mount , the fuel is going from the tank into the float bowl then for some reason it's not going from the carb to the cylinder .. dry spark plug and no fuel coming out of the carb mouth been at it all day I'm just about to set it on fire

Float must be stuck closed check float jet isn't blocked thats under the floats

I’ve tried 3 sets of float needles and valves 2 of them are new also tried different floats Still no fuel getting past the bowl .. very strange

I wonder if the hole through the body is either blocked or not drilled out

I suggest that you take the carburettor off & examine it thoroughly on the bench..

With the float & needle removed, remove the float needle valve. It should be a '200' or larger..

With some aerosol such as carb/brake/GT85 etc with the tube extension to the aerosol top, blast the orifice where the float needle valve fits & see what happens. If you have compressed air & can blast it, all the better.

That should give you an idea of whether the fuel delivery is blocked or whatever.

By the sounds of it, that is not the issue, though, it is the first check to do.

Then follow the same procedure throughout the body of the carburettor, with the jets removed.

The pilot jet & it's passageway will be the next.

The air correction/mixture screw should be totally removed & blasted.

The atomiser should be removed along with the main jet & all purged.

Even the choke should receive the same treatment.

By now you should have a better understanding of the way the instrument functions & have identified any issues. Take copious amounts of photos if in any doubt about reassembly.

I’ve tried doing what you said and cleaned it and blew it through with compressed air .. still no joy ! Fuel still not getting out of the float bowl .. anyone know what height the float should be ?
