Got a melted piston on my gp150 so decided to put a kit on it, don't want to change the crank so anyone got any recommendations please I haven't got a massive budget at the moment either

If your on a limited budget why not look at the Gori 200 kit? Seems decent and comes with a quality piston.

If you decide on a re-bore get it done somewhere that knows what there doing. I had one done at a local motorcycle dealer and it was a nightmare they some how managed to get the bore right at the top and bottom but narrower in the middle I took it to Chiselspeed and they sorted out.

Off the top of my head and using Scooter Restorations- Piston say £40; Head say £30; Rebore say £40; gaskets £5. Up the main jet a tad (assume you're using the standard 22mm carb?)

bore cylinder to 3.5 thou in old money.

Nice load of hot/cold cycles for running in and away you go.

P.S. Make sure the piston is the 175 CONVERSION PISTON, not an ordinary TV175 piston.

If you decide to put a kit on it,you cant do a lot better than fit a Casa 185.No need to change the crank although I've got one fitted on my series 2 with a Mec crank. https://www.riminilambrettacentre.com/e ... t-185.html

Yes, WELL under £300. £150 quid for a very good tune.

PJ Engineering in Wednesfield could sort the re-bore and probably sort a piston as well for you mate.
