Spring loaded top chain guide

Had a few of these come in now and they have all been like this one. If you have one fitted or know someone with one fitted it maybe best to have it checked.

its sprung loaded in the wrong place surely, needs to be closer to the middle of the top chain run, not right by the sprocket


and I would have thought that chains too long to start with?
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it does fail, hit them with it!!!

Is someone actually selling this rubbish and people fitting them themselves, or is there a rogue engine builder in the Sheffield area fitting these to unsuspecting customers?

The spring and guide will be going in the bin with the others ;) Its fitted with 16x46 and an 80 link chain so it must have been a bit long to start with.

Is there somebody who manufactures these or are they a Mod done by someone?

As far as I know they are being made for the other shop in Sheffield.
