I need help to figure out why I am not getting a spark. It was working but it died whilst I was riding it and I had to push it home 2 miles!!

I have a new Ducati ingition unit assembly, new HT lead and spark cap, STILL NO JOY!

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Kindest Regards

That would still give a spark, but at the wrong time.

Try kicking it over with the stator green held against the engine casing. If this doesn't spark, then the problem is with the LT coil, it's earth or the green is shorting or broken. If it does spark the problem is with the pick up (or it's wiring) or the ignition cut out wire/switch is shorting somewhere, disconnect this wire from the CDI to check this.
