What ! pinks not manly ? ....its the new Matt BlackDoom Patrol wrote:You've got to look at it in perspective. When a new set of BGM dampers cost more than that it sounds reasonable. You could perhaps have chosen a more manly colour though.

Will that actually alter the length or just the load on the spring? I'm also curious about the length as the mention in Scootering said suitable for series 1, 2 and 3gaz_powell wrote:they look adjustable with a threaded/lock nut - blue nut on top eyelet (Top on th picture)

The locknut is on the bottom eye, it adjusts the length the same as a BGM rear shock by the looks of it.coaster wrote:Will that actually alter the length or just the load on the spring? Right, it landed today and on first inspection looks good. It was set for 300mm length on arrival but things got decidedly worrying when I adjusted it out to 315mm for fitment to the series 2 I`m planning to fit it too
As it arrived 300mm length
Adjusted to 315mm
The worrying bit, 4mm of thread to secure the ends together when adjusted to 315mm
That looks too dodgy for words, there`s no way that is safe. I`ve checked inside the shock and there is no room for a longer threaded eye section so seriously this shock should have two different eyes to accommodate each length instead of being marketed as a one-size-fits-all.
It looks perfectly fine in 300 length but if you`re planning on fitting this to anything needing 315mm length then hold fire yet
I`ve contacted Readspeed and await their reply.
