What about the woodruff key on the crank could of sheared

Got the thing apart again,should there be any play in the clutch bell,not got an answer in Sticky's manual.Have run out of time tonight but will have the clutch out again to see if the nut is loose.

you will always have some play on the crownwheel, i would take the nut off and remove the clutch center spider while you have it apart and check the splines on the inside are not worn and just spinning over the splines on the gear cluster, if thats ok i would check your cush drive at the front where it bolts to the crank, has the bolt come loose in the center releasing the spring, it will usually work its way through the outer case when this happens, or has your crank snapped ?
