Looking for some advice on tuning options on a mugello 186 kit, V4 if i remember right !! my engine was rebuilt a couple of years ago(LIS3) with .fag bearings ,seals ,race crank, iwiss chain, pacemaker gearbox,26mm dell , JL3 pipe. The mugello kit was fitted straight out of the box ! it goes very well as is but ive read that further tuning can be done to the kit ? can someone tell me what can be done and what would i expect to gain from any porting etc ? would it be worth doing ?
cheers....

Arrange a swap with Lammysliver as he has an Imola that sounds like the wrong kit for his needs.

The trnsfers are a bit restrictive (where they go through the sides of the cylinder). Relieve these trying to maintain an even size, the trf timing is ok as is. open and blend the inlet and manifold lowering the inlet by aproximately 1mm. get the exhaust timing to 180 degrees by raising just shy of 1mm and widen by 1mm either side maintain the curve at the top of the port. blend the exhust port to the JL stub. Fit a 30PHB delly.

It'll now almost hang on to the back of an Imola.
