Summat wrong there boss. Just as a comparison my Muggelo 199 with 28mm Delortto does around 80 miles to to 6.3/4 litres befor it goes on to reserve and that's spanking it as well.

Crikey. Bit of difference. No leaks, lol. Does goes through gears quick. Standard sx200 gearing. 4th gear does seem very low, high revs. Was filled with fuel can, 5 litres, only should have mentioned. How much does the reserve hold roughly, fast flow tap fitted ? Do I need to alter gearing, sprockets, with my top end kit.

Depends what tap your using. On a standard tank a Scootopia tap will give you 1/3 of a litre that's all. An omg tap will give you something like 3 litres but I've cut mine back so it gives 6.3/4 on on and 1.75 on reserve.

your final drive ratio will have an impact on mpg, if its revving high it will be using more fuel, maybe your jetting might be over-rich, those are the 2 main factors, have you done a plug chop ?

Will check on the tap fitted, but quick nosey in the tank, it looks low on petrol, when having to switch on reserve. Plug looks ok, colour.

Depends on the type of riding too.
My RT225 with bgm clubman and 28phbh does about 65 miles to 5litres if im commuting (town traffic and abit of dual carriageway and up and down the gears) but would do the same mileage on about 3.5litres if i went on one long run.
Thats standard jet/sx200 gearing.

Just come back from a ride today on mine 107 miles and used exactly 7.5 litres that's including speeds of up to 73mph on the motorway (I know I couldn't believe it either!) but there you go 4.8-1 gearing on a late pacemaker gearbox.

That would put us in the same ballpark: 11-14 miles per litre.purple_pill67 wrote:Depends on the type of riding too.
