I've had virtually every brand of tyre fitted to Sip rims by a race tyre technician over the past few years and the S1 were by far the most difficult to fit, so much so that I won't sell that combo any more. I don't know if there's any correlation in that with the fact that your's lose air, maybe they don't fit well against the bead. Check that the outer valve is tight as there's a small rubber seal below it, I have to tighten 75% of them out of the box. Check the inner valve is tight. On one tyre that didn't hold air we dropped it back off the bead, spun it and re-soaped it and re-inflated it until it popped against the bead. It held the air after that. I think that was a Michelin SM100.
