Just had my insurance renewal and whilst im happy with the amount (£102.00 for two lammies with all modifications noted , including UK breakdown) I noticed that they ( Equity Red Star) now class a breakdown as a claim !
i have spoken to my Broker who said it is something new and Equity are losing a lot of business because of it.
i wonder how many people have renewed and not noticed this new clause.
As its a classic policy you dont build up any no claims, ive been with them about 8 years, never so much as had to call out the breakdown, let alone accident clainm, so think it`s a bit of a pith take !

same here- same company and probably same broker.

I did phone CN for a quote which was £50 higher for the same bike/ cover so I will stay with my existing insurers FTB.

However, as you say, many people will switch and this action by Equity Red Star does appear somewhat short sighted.

No doubt some sharp suited whizz kid who's still very much wet behind the ears came up with this............ R Sole.
