Re: Vespa px malossi 210 jetting
Is it a PHBH dellorto carb. If it was me, I`d just go through the basics, does the bike hesitate when the throttle is snapped open like its going to stall? Is there enough slack in the throttle cable? Does 1 turn out have the same effect? Try kytronik on setting 0 so the ignition curve is static, re...

Re: SS90 (copy) bodywork preparation etc
What a great write up and such a refreshing change to see a properly thought out Vespa project on here. To shorten the frame just to make the spare wheel sit correctly shows true dedication, I would have found a bigger wheel lol, fair play to you. Got any more projects on the go?

Re: Malossi ignition timing
What did you think of the Kytronik (before it broke)? I have got some good results from mine, amazing the difference that can be made just by twidling the pot, easy tuning really. Didn`t change the power curve on the dyno very much but out on on the road it gave a very noticeable boost when off pipe.

Re: Malossi ignition timing
IT is usually 18 but on mine its nowhere near, with all the nice kit in the engine it seems a waste to guess/assume your timing. I could be wrong but I`m sure radial timing marks don`t change with stroke, only the distance of the piston from tdc will change.

Re: expansion exhaust design
There can`t be too many people who build their own exhaust so I`d say give it a go, it would be great to see a picture story (like the rotax 290) as it progresses. There is something special about a well made 2 stroke exhaust, it`s like sheet metal artwork. Have you got a link for the program, the r...

Re: Vespa small frame rear shock top mount
I kinda get what you`re thinking but once its tightened up any movement should be in the rubber block below. But I guess if the hole is all big and rusty then it could move around bit, wearing the hole some more.

Re: aerospace adhesive to bond part of a broken case?
Bit of late reply but I`ve used `Araldite 2014` on a few vespa casings, excellent resistance against fuels, oils, heat, shock loads. Takes 24 hrs to cure but worth the wait.

Re: Scootering Magazine - November edition
Well chuffed to be on the front cover of this one, well ok not me but results of many many hours work, a good write up too. Definitely a proud moment for me, I know things can be put up online so easy nowadays but I rekon there`s still something special about being in print.
