Thanks guys for all your help it's a fiddley job but more grease and hung the plates on the compressor all sorted but will knock up alignment tool at work

never had a problem with this even with the bike upright. Simply put all your plates (corks and steels etc) on your clutch compressor and give it a bit of tension so the top plate is slightly compressed. The feed your springs in and seat them, followed by your plates. Tighten up the compressor then...

dip the springs in thick grease push them in place then put clutch bell housing over them i usually have my plates sat on the bar you compress with so as soon as you put pressure on the bell you slide each one down I've tried gaz they seemed to hold for a second then drop down, even a bit of loctit...

Clutch springs
I'm trying to fit my clutch whilst bike upright finding it impossible to keep the springs in place can it be done or have I got to lye it on its side tips would be really appreciated thanks
