Yea, they are all crap. i opened them once to renew the reed-switch inside the metal pipe. if it works i do hate them because the magnet is to much floating up and down and its not clear whan a certain level is reached. take a wire end bend it to a hook. try to catch the swimmer and lift it up, so y...

How big need a air-leak to be, that the engine does not suck any fuel out of th carb!? once i had a completely worn out 125cc vespa cylinder that could not generat enough under-pressure. but you wrote its a brand new kit. I still think, there is only a air bubble in your carb. hands on, kick, hands ...

close the carb with your flat hand and kick a few times. might help in some situations with dry carbs....

thats not the only thing to do, there are various manuals about SI tuning online.

You did not modified the carb? Second drilling on the needle-valve, 2mm drilling to the main-jet, ect...

i am running a 118 main jet on 25mm and a 128 on 28mm dellorto. same exhaust but 200cc cast iron, well portet with reed. i guess you are running to lean. give it a try.
