Re: scootrs disc diagram

Nice BGM front dampers, nice powerful disc brake, alloy wheel etc.
So why the crap bracket for the lower damper mounting?
I had them one, both sheard through due to metal fatigue.

I got a great pair of the right trailing links, made by MBD, and they are superb.

Re: Jockey Boxenstop rear brake

I got one direct from Jockeys.
Works well, my rear brake is much better than it was, I do have an Indian casing, there is a known issue with rear brake shoe mounting points and the Jockeys kit cured that problem.
I did change the bolt supplied from,I think 6mm to 8mm and have had no problem.

Re: Anti dive.

These scooters never had anti-dive when new, although the brakes were good. Why do we need it now? perhaps we brake too hard and not carefully? Cars don't nose dive under braking except when in an emergency? Watch the MOTO GP or British Superbikes racing and answer this, do they have anti-dive? Cons...

Re: Fooked Rimini 5 speed.

Hmmmmmm......... How many Vespa GTS engines with auto gearboxes have been shoehorned into a Lambretta? Those have been accepted surely although they have passed over to the Dark Side? Imagine thus, if the 5 speed Cyclone gearboxes help keep an engine more in the power band, just think how good it wo...

Re: Fooked Rimini 5 speed.

I have to agree with Bristolmods thinking. My TS1is quick enough for me and I chose that spec because of its performance and reliability. Although there continue to be some positive new products for Lambretta and Vespas, we don't all want or need them. 5 speed gearboxes for the Lambretta are nothing...

Re: Jockeys Boxenstop Lambretta headlamp

Just received the new headlamp from Jockeys Boxenstop and it looks the biz! I'll let you know how easy or otherwise it is to fit, the biggest job looks to be making the existing wiring block on the back of the original headlamp into a neat and tidy, separate unit in the headlamp. I'll figure it out!...

Jockeys Boxenstop Lambretta headlamp

Hi
Has anyone bought and tried the new headlight for Lambrettas from Jockeys Boxenstop, particularly for the Li Special headlamp. About £69.00

Was it ok to fit and is the light output a big improvement?

Cheers
